Our Honeymoon to Jamaica!

I can honestly say that our honeymoon was the best trip I have ever been on!! I told Nathan in the beginning that I wanted him to plan the honeymoon...and wow! He planned a great one :) I would go back right now if I could!

 

We didn't want to be rushed trying to get to the airport so we actually spent our first night at our house and then drove to Nashville on Saturday and spent the night there. We had an early morning flight on Sunday morning. Here we are at dinner in Nashville.

We stopped at this little store on our way...

 

45 minutes later we arrived at our resort...Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton!!

 

Our Resort was BEAUTIFUL!!

 

We immediately headed to the beach :)

We went to the show the first night and Nathan was called on stage to rap the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" lyrics!! :)

 

We were both called on stage to compete in a couples competition and we won "The Best Couple" at the Resort!! We had to play some pretty funny games!

Day 4 we swam with the dolphins!!!!! This was at the very top of my bucket list! I have always wanted to swim with dolphins and it lived up to my expectations completely!!

 

 On the fifth day we went on a dune buggy ride!!! This was probably our favorite thing of the entire trip!!! We drove all over the country side and got to see some of the villages. Look at those helmets we had to wear!!

 

The dune buggy went really fast!! And we ended up super muddy!

On our last day there we decided to go snorkeling...It wasn't the best day to do this because it was really cloudy :( 

 

Nathan had a blast...as for me, well not so much haha!! I was scared of sharks ;)

 

But we survived and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon at the pool!

 

We went to dinner on the beach our last night!

 

Leaving the resort was bittersweet!! We had such a great time...but I was ready for some American food :)

This really was the trip of a lifetime!!! I can't wait to go back one day :)

3 More Months!

Our baby girl's due date is only 3 months away...CHRISTMAS DAY! I can't believe it is getting here so quickly! Christmas is my favorite time of year! I still get so excited even though I am in my 20's :) I love the holiday music, decorating, and most of all spending time with family! There is still something so magical about Christmas time to me and I am so excited that Christmas will include our baby girl from here on out!!! I thought I would share some pictures of Christmas last year!

 

 

We stayed in Florence for Christmas last year which was really fun! We are both "home bodies" so we enjoyed getting to have Christmas morning at our house.

After we opened all of our presents from each other we headed over to my mom and dads!

Nathan's favorite present was a toy helicopter!! Both him and my dad got these and they played with them all day! They are such kids :)

My Exciting Weekend!

There aren't too many exciting things that happen to you when are home on bed rest. However, this past weekend was great! The most exciting one I have had so far!!! Friday afternoon we received a package!

 

 

When I opened the box I was thrilled to find baby girl's bedding!!!!! This is only the first part of the order. We are still waiting on a few things that won't get here until sometime in October.

I made Nathan show off the crib skirt!!

I can't wait to get it all set up in her nursery!!! We are finally seeing some progress being made!

 

 

 

 



On Sunday, my parents stopped by to bring us some gifts for the baby! They were in Starkville this weekend for the Mississippi State game and mom found a super cute baby store. She just couldn't help picking up a few things!

 

 Here is a picture of things she bought sitting in the ugly blue chair that is going to be recovered :)

She got her a pillow and 2 bonnets! The bonnet on the right came with a really sweet poem. It is a bonnet that the baby wears home from the hospital and then uses as a handkerchief on her wedding day as her "Something Old". I had a one of these bonnets and it was really special to me to be able to use it on my wedding day. I so glad that mom found one for our baby girl! 

This is a sweet little antique book rack that I bought for the nursery several months ago. I have been using it to display all of the things that we have gotten for our little girl! She is spoiled rotten already :) I'll post a better picture of the book rack later!!!
